Surviving Yet Another Winter

We managed to survive last winter, but yet another one coming for us…

Winter Storms are fast approaching the Northeast this season with the promise to leave us all weeping with our snow shovels.

Luckily, we’re here to help you survive it (not by digging your car out, however).  Winter is the hardest season because it’s difficult to find the balance between looking sleek and stylish, but also staying warm, all while trying not to look like a gigantic burrito of fabric.

Here are some of our suggestions for the spectrum of snow day style:

Def-Con 1: The Snow-Bunny Badass

If the cold is of no moment to you and the slush is your runway, break out your finest black trench, most daring cat-eye shades, classic wrap dress, and throw it all together with a sizable blanket scarf.

Level 2: Cute But Refuse To Wear Heels

For this, we can’t blame you.  It’s cold and we can’t all be snow vixens.  Bean boots are the all-weather go-to for us, so pair these with thick Timberland socks, faded jeans, and your chunkiest knit sweater for an outfit that says, “I’m adorable and definitely warmer than you.”

Cute by no heels!

Level 3: I’m Only Here So I Don’t Get Fined

Note: indoor only outfit.  For those of us too wimp to brave the cold, period, we’re all ready for a low-key day of tea, online shopping, and plenty of popcorn.  Lulu’s, your oversized cardigan, fuzzy socks, and your furriest slippers are your best friend today.  Maybe it could even make for an adorable lazy day insta!
